I would like to speak on a thought of Psalm 62 and come from the perspective from yesterday's devotion. Notice it’s talking about how God is the rock, my salvation (deliverer) and our defense. We see him as such in many psalms; this was one of David's revelations he received about the Lord and he taught it and sang about it. This view of God was very special to him. Just as David our view of God is related to our relationship and personal experiences we have with him. Now David saw him as many other things but these are continually repeated throughout his psalms. Now let’s move into two thoughts in this passage.
Greatly Moved - David is saying that we can’t be moved from those personal beliefs and experiences, why because we have experienced them. David had seen God be his rock. David had seen God be his deliver ie. (Goliath), He had seen God be his defenses in many battles he was protected and succeeded.
David again repeats the phrase “moved” but this time the word greatly is not in front of it. Which is an indication of the severity of the type of moving. David is saying with him as your rock, as your defense, as your salvation. You can’t be moved, not even the slightest. As we face this pandemic we must see God the way David saw him with immovable Faith. No matter what the world tries to do or say we must remember that we have personal experiences with Him, and if we are founded on God, then the world, temptation or the enemy has no chance of pushing us off.
