I just want to give a quick word tonight about Psalm 18. I would have done a video but my son wasn't asleep yet, I guess revival started a bad bedtime routine. lol

In verse 2 We see that David is telling us that God is the Rock, Fortress, and Deliver.

The Rock - The rock is a solid foundation. In Luke 6:46 Jesus is encountering people who are calling him Lord, Lord and he says to them how can you call me lord and not do the things that I say. Then he compares two types of people: one who builds his house upon a rock and he compares him to a man that does what he says, in other words, obedient and the other who built his house on the sand he compares him to one who is disobedient. We have to have Jesus be our rock during this time. But he can only be our rock if we are obedient, I’ll put it like this If he’s not our rock we have nothing to stand or even lean on.
My fortress – Ephesians tell us we are in a spiritual battle so David is saying that he is our fortress when we are in a battle, he will send the reinforcements (strength, courage, energy) to face that thing that we coming against, whether it be an evil spirit, fear, stress, anxiety, or even temptation. If we can’t handle it we can retreat back to God and find protection. There have been many times in my life where I find this is true and have received his help in times when it seems like the enemy was going to win, whether it was giving in to temptation or letting sin have its way. I would retreat back into his fortress where his presence was. Usually, this was through worship and prayer and the enemy would leave me alone because under my daddy's wings I could be touched. Glory!
My deliverer –Sometimes we end getting in over our head and he has to rescue us. There have been numerous times when he delivered me. The most important one is my salvation. I was headed to a path of destruction until the redeemer, my rescuer delivered me, not just from the destruction but also from the enemy’s grasp. The enemy can have us in his grips right now and we may need him to rescue us and be our deliverer. We need to call on Jesus, plead the blood, and tell Satan he can't cross that bloodline GLORY!
