It was immediately obvious that many of those attending the monthly Community Suppers were in need of warm outer clothing, especially during the winter months in Boise.  Cindy Kubena started and continues to run Joseph’s Closet to fill that need.

Joseph’s Closet, located in the basement of the Education Building, is an unfunded outreach ministry.

Since it's inception, generous members of the congregation have donated parkas, coats, sweaters, hats, scarves, gloves, mittens and boots for distribution in conjunction with the third Friday of the month Community Suppers and occasionally at other times.

During the winter of 2007-2008 Joseph's Closet gave out over 200 coats along with other winter accessories.
